Everyday people, high profile fashion designers, and even celebrities have no filter and no boundary lines by revisiting the degrading trend of blackface.
What originally started as theater makeup for minstrel shows in the 19th century, as white people painting their face in black paint and feeding into stereotypical black activities, is once again emerging in 2013. In a attempt to have the most creative and over the top halloween costumes this year, people are taking it too far and are down right offensive.
8 hours ago the Huffington post published an article about high profile fashion designers, and others, partaking in the blackface culture as they disguised themselves to fit the theme of an African Halloween Disco Party in Italy yesterday.
Not to mention the several people think it’s ok to dress as Trayvon Martian for Halloween this year.
Clearly this blackface issue is turning into an ignorant, insensitive trend, and needs to be stopped. Halloween is about being spooky, creative, and fun so I hope you all think before you dress.
Chrissy Teigen is now Mrs. Legend after marrying singer/songwriter John Legend on Saturday at an estate on Italy’s Lake Como.
In an intimate ceremony in front of family members and friends, the bride stunned in not one, but three Vera Wang gowns for her special day. First for the ceremony was an ivory strapless open back, V-neck ball gown with lifted tulle skirt and tiered flange, with hand-cut petal embroidered detail.
She then changed in to a mermaid ivory gown with micro pleated bodice and sheared organza full skirt for the reception. The model, changed again for the after party this time donning a crimson strapless mermaid gown with hand draped bodice and inverted flange skirt with embroidered crystal wheat detail.
Now that sounds like some expensive but beautiful dresses. Congrats to the happy couple!
Derrick Rose is out the country doing his world tour building his brand. He’s made a stop in Herzogenaurach, Germany to kickoff the tour. He made a stop in Milan, Italy where he surprised players at a local court and spoke with fans during a 3 on 3 tournament. He came on the Amig Show in Serbia the interview is humorous, and insightful. They talk about a lot of interesting things. Derrick Rose is one of the most humbling athletes I’ve seen, and he’s very well spoken. I’m glad he set out all of last year. That will go a long way for him for the rest of his career. Again if you were one of those fake fans questioning Derrick Rose toughness, and commitment to the Bulls you shouldn’t watch any Bulls games this year, and you should probably become a fan of another team. Don’t come back on the Derrick Rose bandwagon I know all of you clowns will be rejoicing once he takes the court in October for opening night. The Drose wagon is already full of only loyal fans. Enjoy his interview on the Amig Show.
