Even though Halloween hasn’t approached quite just yet, a lot of people went out this weekend in costumes. Actress/dance Julianne Hough was spotted with a couple of her gal friends dressed as the cast of Orange Is The New Black— the only problem what that is Julianne wore blackface.
After the backlash, Hough took to her twitter account to say:
“I am a huge fan of the show Orange is the New black, actress Uzo Aduba, and the character she has created. It certainly was never my intention to be disrespectful or demeaning to anyone in any way. I realize my costume hurt and offended people and I truly apologize.”
I understand Julianne was dressed as a fictional character and is more than likely not racist– but another picture surfaced the web of three actual racists who thought it was “hilarious” to dress up as the deceased teen Trayvon Martin and the murderer George Zimmerman.
So we gotta ask.. Is this Creative or Racist
Weeks after George Zimmerman’s acquittal he was pulled over by the police for speeding and informed the officer he had a gun in his glove compartment.
The encounter was very polite.
But really, he’s able to still have a gun?

The famous power couple Jay Z and Beyonce made it clear that they believe justice was NOT served in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin (along with half of America). They spent Saturday protesting at the “Justice for Trayvon Martin” rally in New York, against the “Stand Your Ground” laws in Florida that allowed George Zimmerman to claim self defense in the shooting of 17 year old Trayvon.
Jigga and Bey were seen posing with Trayvon’s mother Sybrina Fulton and Al Sharpton.
The couple have taken time out of there performances to support Trayvon Martin.
Early this week when the nation had learned of George Zimmerman’s verdict NOT GUILTY pictures hit the internet of teenagers and adults “trayvoning” mocking Trayvon Martin’s dead body when it was found at the scene.
“Trayvoning” is something made up by ignorant demented idiots who thinks its funny to laugh at someone else’s greif. A teenager is dead and no one is punished for it. If it was the other way around somebody would be in jail and that someone is Trayvon Martin. Now its okay to mock his death by calling it “Trayvoning”? Its awful and wrong and everyone who posts pictures of them so called “Trayvoning” should be punished.
The case of Trayvon Martin had the whole world talking about it. Over the past couple of months celebrities, the media and the world was in support of “Justice for Trayvon” by wearing hoodies, making their profile pictures on social media a black screen for the teen.
Trayvon Martin was a 17 year old African American high school student who was gunned down by George Zimmerman, a volunteer for the neighborhood watch on February 26, 2012 in Sanford, Florida. Martin and Zimmerman were on their way home when Zimmerman called the police in suspision stating
“this guy looks like he’s up to no good, or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about and looking at all the houses”
Zimmerman exited his vehicle and had a violent encounter with Martin, causing Zimmerman to shoot Martin in the heart at close range.
Zimmerman turned himself in and after 16 hours of deliberations, the six women of the jury delivered their verdict: NOT GUILTY of second degree murder.
