Jay-Z stays on top of the rap game, and on top of his business. As he said once before “I’m not a businessman, I’m a BUSINESS, MAN” Jay-Z released a commercial Sunday night during halftime of the NBA Finals letting the world know he’s releasing a new album. Jay-Z has signed a deal with Samsung to release his new album titled Magna Carta Holy Grail that’s dropping July 7th, but the album will be made available July 4th to Samsung subscribers through a mobile application. In the commercial Jay-Z is in the studio with producers Rick Rubin, Pharrell, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland.
With the help of Jay-Z, Samsung has shaken up the cell phone industry. Now you will see people starting to switch over from the IPHONE to the Samsung Galaxy S4 just to get their hands on the album. Samsung has paid $5 for each of the million albums it will give away. So it doesn’t matter if people go out and buy the album when it drops in July, because Jay-Z is already platinum thanks to Samsung. Jay-Z and Kanye West are changing Hip Hop all over again with not having any major singles for their albums and just releasing it. No rappers now a days can drop a album without promotion or any major single, but leave it to Jay-Z and Kanye to become the trendsetters of Hip Hop. Watch rappers attempt to pull off what Jay-Z and Kanye are doing, but fail to sell as many albums as them. From the commercial the music on this album sounds great. I can’t wait for it to drop! This has been a great summer of music so far. Here’s the clip of the commercial.
